What is counselling?

Counselling aims to help you deal with and overcome issues that are causing emotional pain or making you feel uncomfortable.

It can provide a safe and regular space for you to talk and explore difficult feelings. The counsellor is there to support you and respect your views. They won't usually give advice, but will help you find your own insights into and understanding of your problems. (NHS)

At Access Counselling all our counsellors are fully qualified, members of a nationally recognised professional body, and hold professional liability insurance.
We can offer Canine Assisted Therapy - if a client would find it more comfortable to have a dog present in the room during the counselling session.
We offer counselling for young people Primary 7 upwards.
We can also offer counselling in Mandarin and Cantonese for any clients who request it.
